Duties & Responsibilities at Westwood Homecare: Overseeing Accounts, Finance & Payroll Department. Assisting with day to day running of the company.
Michelle’s career with Westwood began 2 years ago and from the beginning she had a clear vision of where she wanted the company to go but needed a strong team around her to achieve these dreams. She worked with the Owner and founder of the company to help build the fantastic senior team we have today. Michelle has been instrumental in facilitating the improvements we have made to our service including the establishment of further locations in Bolton and Stockport and in our accredited training academy in Bolton. Michelle has overseen the introduction of better working conditions for staff including providing a living wage for our employees, rather than the minimum wage, and a travel allowance to assist with fuel costs.
Michelle particularly enjoys contact with our clients and has undertaken relevant training to enable her to deliver care, thus ensuring she is fully conversant with a carer’s responsibilities and also allowing her to see, first-hand, the difference we make to people’s lives.
Prior to joining Westwood, Michelle has had a diverse career and has held roles in HR at University of Manchester and has been a Company Director for many years of several successful Companies, primarily focusing on Property and Real Estate. Alongside raising her three children, Michelle has built a healthy property portfolio and managed the administration and finance strands of a number of businesses in the North West.
