Amy Cawley
Registered Manager
My Story
Amy’s career with Westwood Homecare started in 2020.
Amy’s role as the Care Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient delivery of services to clients and the effective management of the care workers. She is responsible for the procurement of services, scheduling home visits, and assigning care workers to clients based on their needs, preferences, and availability. Amy must balance the workload among staff members to ensure that all clients receive timely and appropriate care.
A key responsibility of Amy’s role is developing and updating care plans for clients. She ensures that the care provided aligns with these plans and that any changes in the client’s condition are promptly addressed. Additionally, she ensures that all care delivered meets quality standards and regulatory requirements, while also implementing quality improvement initiatives when necessary.
Amy also oversees the training and development of care workers. She provides orientation and ongoing support to ensure staff members have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care. As a primary point of contact for clients and their families, Amy addresses questions, concerns, or requests for assistance, maintaining open communication to keep them informed and involved in care decisions.
Moreover, Amy liaises with other healthcare professionals such as physicians, therapists, and social workers to ensure all aspects of a client’s care are well-coordinated and integrated. She is always prepared to respond to emergencies or crises that may arise during the provision of home care services, developing and implementing protocols while supporting staff and clients through challenging situations.
