My Story

Tia’s career with Westwood Homecare began in 2023.


As a Co-ordinator, Tia plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient delivery of services to clients and the effective management of care workers. She is responsible for scheduling home visits and assigning care workers to clients based on their needs, preferences, and availability. Tia carefully balances workloads among staff to ensure that all clients receive timely and appropriate care.


She also oversees the training and development of care workers, providing orientation and ongoing support to ensure staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care.


Tia serves as a primary point of contact for clients and their families, addressing any questions, concerns, or requests for assistance. She maintains open lines of communication to keep clients and families informed and involved in decision-making about their care.

Additionally, Tia liaises with other healthcare professionals involved in client care, such as physicians, therapists, and social workers. She facilitates collaboration to ensure that all aspects of a client’s care are well-coordinated and integrated.


Tia is also prepared to respond to emergencies or crises that may arise in the course of delivering home care services. She develops and implements protocols for handling emergencies and provides support to staff and clients during challenging situations.
