My Story

Lorna started work within the Care Industry in 1989 after suddenly losing her father and wanted to give something back, giving people access to the best care they deserved.

Lorna has worked in many different roles within the industry, from Care Assistant in Nursing homes, care in the community, Home Help for Social Services, Health and Social Care Assessor and Tutor, gaining many qualifications along the way, working her way to become Registered Manager. Lorna has experience and a proven track record in start-up branches, now successfully opened 2 new branches.

Lorna came to Westwood in September 2019, just after losing her mother to Dementia and Heart Disease. Lorna cared for her Mum in her final years and always ensured that she received the best care and support.

Lorna successfully opened Westwood Homecare Liverpool branch and became the Registered Manager, creating an excellent team. "We are a close team and my door is always open to them".

I am a firm believer that to be a good manager it is important to meet the clients and not be a faceless person who runs the branch and I am always out with my sleeves rolled up and delivering quality care to our clients and getting feedback from them so I can be assured that we are delivering the best care to them.
