Message from our CEO

With the current Global COVID-19 Pandemic that has swept the World. I am just writing a quick note to show may appreciation for all the hard work that our Staff have been putting in as Key Workers, to adapt to the current climate and continuing to provide exceptional levels of Care.

Westwood Homecare – Our Response to COVID-19

There is no doubt that when it comes to COVID-19, there has been a lot of disruption to businesses all across the world, and for good reason. This viral outbreak that we are all dealing with is incredibly challenging and is pushing everyone to the limit. However, this does mean that a lot of businesses, all across the country, are shutting down because they can not stay open due to new government rules. We will continue to provide our service to people in Manchester, Bolton, Stockport, Knowsley and soon Liverpool and Oldham. We have taken a look at all of the procedures and rules in place, and come up with our own set of guidelines about how we’re responding to this crisis.

The Services Continue

As key workers, we do not have the option of shutting down during this crisis. We have a responsibility to everyone that we work hard to help, and so we have attempted to balance this with our number one priority – keeping all of our staff and clients safe.

However, to ensure that all parties associated with our business are kept safe, we have implemented the following procedures and adopted the guidelines laid out by the government. First and foremost, we have made the decision to close down all of our offices, this is so that we do not put any of our staff at risk. All staff have been given permission to continue working from home where applicable. This is a temporary move and will be subject to the recommendation of the government, but it looks to be the case for the foreseeable future that we will be working this way. We have made enquiries with the local authorities to try and get them provide Carers more PPE to protect them whilst working.

Secondly and finally, we have amped up the level of support which we provide to all staff. We make sure that anyone who needs advice, help or support can get it quickly and efficiently.

On a More Positive Note – Thank You.

In the midst of this unprecedented crisis, we want to take the time to thank each and every member of our corporate family who is working hard to uphold the values that we have built our business on. To all the staff, carers, management staff and supervisors, to name just a few, thank you so much. You are the lifeblood of this company and we appreciate you more than we know how to word.

To all of the public, thank you for your continued support. The outpouring of support which was shown for all key workers and NHS staff on the evening of Thursday 26th March 2020 at 8PM was an incredible boost for the morale of all who are continuing the fight against COVID-19.

We are currently in trying times. But we will prevail. We continue to provide a 24/7 service for all of the people we have promised to support. Our staff will continue to do whatever they can for you, whilst working from home, and if you’re a member of the team reading this… know that we have never been prouder. You have all risen to the challenge of COVID-19 in the most incredible way. With all of our combined efforts, and the support of the public, Westwood Homecare will continue to try and support the community. Together, we will thrive.

Well done and Keep up the Good Work. I am Proud of YOU!
